Term 3, Week 6 

English:

Phonics:

This week we will be in the final revision stage of all our Phase 5a sounds taught so far. We are also completing one to one phonics assessments with children at this time.

 

Writing:

We will be writing sentences based on our class story of Look Up. 

Reading:
We continue to combine individual reading with guided reads and whole class reads. Please keep up with daily reading at home and record each time your child reads by making in the yellow reading log. 

Maths   

Maths fluency skills:

Recall of number bonds to 10  and 20

Partitioning into tens and ones (within 50)

Number recognition within 50

Number formation within 50

Recall of 1 more/less within 20

Addition and subtraction facts within 10
 

Main learning is Place value within 50

We will be coming to the end of our place value unit and will be looking at ordering non-consecutive numbers within 50 (see below). We will also be carrying out an assessment of our learning this term.

 

 

Wider Curriculum

 

Shine PE -To plan with a partner and small group to complete challenges.

 

PE - Dance

 

Music - We will be comparing the tempo’s of our play songs and discussing how this builds excitement.

 

R+WV - We will be exploring how Humanists believe we should look after our world.

 

Computing - We will be learning about online safety and discussing what ‘private’ information is.
